WDSI SETTLES DEFAMATION LAWSUIT BROUGHT BY PAULY JAIL

Rather than proceed to trial, WDSI has settled a lawsuit brought by Pauly Jail accusing WDSI of defamation. Pauly Jail filed the lawsuit in 2002 after WDSI falsely accused Pauly Jail of engaging in bid rigging and collusion. The details of the settlement are confidential.

During the course of the litigation, Pauly Jail discovered that WDSI had made the defamatory allegations to numerous people, including architects, detention equipment contractors, county commissioners, newspapers, the Federal Trade Commission, the F.B.I., and the Illinois Attorney General. Those allegations were groundless—and WDSI’s efforts to convince government agencies to investigate Pauly Jail were fruitless. Indeed, Pauly Jail has consistently maintained the highest ethical standards in public bidding.

Pauly Jail is pleased at the outcome of the lawsuit and appreciates the support it has received from innumerable counties, sheriffs, customers, architects, suppliers, and team members. And, as always, Pauly Jail looks forward to continuing its reputation as the premier detention equipment contractor.
