Scope: The Douglas County Jail, located in Douglasville, Georgia, is a four-story building which includes the sheriff’s office, detention administration area, training area, support area, and dispatch. The facility also includes intake, hearing areas, medical/infirmary, kitchen, warehouse, and maintenance areas. There are seven hundred-and-four (704) maximum/medium security steel modular cells as well as minimum security dorms.
SteelCell provided seven hundred-and-four (704) two-inmate prefabricated detention modules for this four-level, mid-rise facility. Due to the speed of this project, SteelCell was able to provide BIM/ shop drawings, produce the cells, and deliver all units within one hundred (100) days of the receipt of the purchase order.
Pauly Jail installed one hundred seventy-six (176) steel modular cells per floor in a two (2) week period per floor. The overall start to finish was scheduled of less than three (3) months.
